We squeezed Gary 'til his eyes popped.

Hi Everyone,

Before you continue reading this newsletter, I would like to stop and take time to say thank you for supporting JustLocal.

We recently learnt our Google PageRank is now 5.

This means JustLocal now has a Google PageRank equal to such well know organisations as: St George Bank, ABC Online, National Australia Bank and higher than organisations such as Ford Australia and News Limited’s news.com.au site.

You are the one who made this possible. We have not promoted JustLocal in the normal media, just through the Internet and yourself.

I'm sure I speak for all JustLocal advertisers when I say thank you. Your support is very much appreciated as the flow on effect for all JustLocal advertisers, we expect will be quite significant.

Now let's have some fun and I trust you enjoy the information presented in this edition of JustLocal News.

In this edition of JustLocal News, we share a great deal we have organised for you with Gary Hipworth, the creator of the SuperLife life planning programme.

We show you how you can make money out of helping JustLocal. Yes, we pay you for helping us. Now that's something I like to see from an advertiser.

We discuss the RSS feed technology now built into all current releases of browser software and how we are using the technology to keep you informed.

Please enjoy.

Did we squeeze Gary too hard?
(No Garys were actually harmed in the making of this newsletter.)

I often say to my children that life without goals, is like a ship without a rudder.

Do you feel you have lost your rudder?

Early last year I completed the SuperLife life planning programme and for me, it produced a number of significant results.

Gary Hipworth has produced an excellent programme which uses Excel to assist you in creating your Life Plan. The DIY approach means you do it when you want, where you want.

Once you have your plan, you have your rudder and then you can get to wherever you want to go.

One fascinating use of SuperLife I have heard of, is when couples do their Life Plans and they gain insight into each others dreams. Just imagine how supportive you can be with your partner, by knowing that type of information.

We wanted to make sure you could take advantage of this programme and so we really put the squeeze on Gary.

Not only did we get him to reduce the price for the programme to $99 to help more people, we squeezed Gary even further and organised an eye popping price of $49 for readers of JustLocal News.

Don't delay. This offer is for a limited time. Contact Gary and let him know you heard about the offer from JustLocal. You may even wish to ask him how his vision is.

Visit www.JustLocal.com.au and click on the SuperLife logo to find out more about SuperLife.

How you can make money from JustLocal

One thing we like to do is to thank others when they help us.

With JustLocal we designed in an excellent Referral Reward scheme. An amazing 20% of the first years lease (which is $22 per lot) is up for grabs. Simply refer a business to JustLocal and if that business joins JustLocal, the referral reward is yours.

Until recently we limited this to JustLocal advertisers. Many people who are not advertisers have expressed interest in the Referral Reward Scheme and so now we are opening up the referral reward to you.

All you need to do is to let business owners you know, know about JustLocal.

JustLocal sells itself.

JustLocal is now in the top 1% of websites worldwide (according to Alexa.com which is owned by the Amazon Book company) and has an impressive Google PageRank of 5. Most business owners realise just how impressive these figures are.

You should ask the business owner to let us know that it was you that sent them to JustLocal, as otherwise we won't know. You should also advise them our money back guarantee is less any referral amount.

The JustLocal referral reward scheme is a great way to make money from JustLocal. We do suggest however that should you make a significant amount of money, that you seek an accountants advice.

Welcome to JustLocal

Keeping you up-to-date using RSS technology

What is RSS?

RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication. That really helped, didn't it. Didn't think so.

The best way to explain RSS is to show you how we are using RSS to help keep you informed.

You know those short news items you see in the papers. Now organisations participating in JustLocal can send us a news item.

We take the news item and add it to our RSS feed. The news item is then available from any JustLocal page for you to read.

The news item is only a summary. Often more information is available on the advertiser's website. You can access the advertiser's post code page by clicking on the news item heading. Find the advertiser and click on their logo. It couldn't be easier.

You are now kept informed with news items. It may be an event, a new product range or a special offer. You never know what might appear, so it is best to keep an eye on the news.

For example:

The National Breast Cancer Foundation sent us information on the Mothers Day Classic, which now celebrates its tenth year and helps raise funds for breast cancer research.

ShareFinder Investment Services sent us information on their seminar and kindly offered free entry if you mention the code provided for JustLocal readers. Thank you ShareFinder Investment Services.

To view the RSS feed you should really have a current version of a browser such as Internet Explorer 7, Firefox 2 or Opera 9.

The button you press to read the RSS feed looks like the following.

We believe in the coming years the RSS feed technology is something everyone should become familiar with. When all the modern browsers incorporate a feature like this, the technology has a very good chance of becoming part of our every day life.

The advantage of this technology is you only need to subscribe to the feeds you are interested in. You determine the news you want to see and that can save a lot of time.

With JustLocal we have started with a single RSS feed. All you need to do is subscribe to, or read the one RSS feed we make available.

Many people still use older browsers. To handle this we have added the menu item "RSS feed", so people with older browsers can view news items.

The following are a few news items we recently added to the JustLocal RSS feed.

The demand for nurses has surpassed all expectations
Today, 30 April 2007, 11 hours ago
Most people come to the Gold Coast for a holiday, but it seems that nurses are moving to the Coast to enjoy the fantastic life style, beautiful climate and relaxed atmosphere. Unfortunately they also need to work, so to achieve the flexibility, great pay rates and excellent support they are joining the team at Carestaff Nursing Services, a locally owned and operated Nursing Agency, who can definitely look after their needs. We are moving into our busiest period of the year and have unlimited shifts available for RNs, EENs, ENs and AINs. Please contact us for further information on 0755 766255. The sun shines on the coast, the waves roll in and the groovy cafes are alive with people right through winter. When you are not at work it's like being on holiday.
