Hi Everyone, What an amazing 1st year it has been. Now into our second year, we see exciting times ahead as people begin to realise the benefits JustLocal offers.
In our second year we are now upping-the-ante as we aim to make JustLocal all it can be. MyAnswers now available FREE to all JustLocal users

Yet our real world experience doesn't show this. There is a lot of desire, but not as much action. We have upped-the-ante and want to help businesses fulfil their latent desire to help other local businesses. Every new advertiser leasing a lot on JustLocal is being made aware part of their commitment is to help JustLocal and other JustLocal advertisers. To look for opportunities to help each other. When we started JustLocal we saw a shocking situation that pervades the small business community and we want to do our part to change things. People set up their business to get customers. They are friendly to their customers because that helps their business. Rarely however do they think that perhaps their customers could also provide products and services to them. We estimate one in five of their customers run a business. Imagine what would happen if each local business started to use the services of other local businesses. Imagine how strong the local business community would be. Businesses only need to make a very minor change in their spending habits to have an enormous impact. We have changed our spending habits away from businesses who only want customers, to businesses who also want to do business with their customers. We call these businesses Two Way businesses. Two Way business people see a bigger picture and from our experience, their less selfish approach often comes with a higher standard of service. Whilst there comes no money with this award, just fame and glory, we would like to recognise Raymond Read of Read's Cartridges and Office Supplies, as the advertiser of the year for 2006. Raymond's business now supplies stationery across Australia and even supplies overseas. He is sought after for his knowledge in the stationery industry and has an impressive story which he hopes to share, which we know will inspire others. Raymond has taken advantage of many of the features of JustLocal. - He was the first to organise free advertising for the local charity he supports, which is Cottage By The Sea. - He has taken advantage of the referral rewards offered by JustLocal and been rewarded for referring a number of businesses. - He has used the services of a number of advertisers on JustLocal and has made savings which will easily exceed over a thousand dollars a year. - He now supplies us with much of our office stationery. A special thanks to Dr Stephen Pryor of Eltham Veterinary clinic. Dr Stephen Pryor was one of the first local businesses to give us his support. In our recent emergency where our dog Molly dislocated her hip, we opened the JustLocal page for 3106 and with one click, had our local Vet's telephone number. Dr Stephen Prior was available when needed, even though it required rescheduling an appointment. Watching Dr Stephen Pryor was indeed impressive. Molly was in pain when we handled her, but even with Dr Stephen Pryor prodding and poking, at no time did Molly utter a sound. Thanks for your support of JustLocal and taking care of Molly.
