My Small Book of Poems

The release of my chapbook in May 2007 has been one incredible step for me. Now at 53 years young, I only started writing in December 2006. In fact, I was 15 in grade 8 when I left school and never had any formal schooling in writing (shows in my spelling).

After several jobs, I moved into furniture removals where I spent 25 years of my life. In this time my wife and myself operated our own business for 17 years.

The memories of our beautiful outback, family, close war veterans and friends have given me the inspiration for my writing. The size of my book was purpose done to gauge the reaction of the public. The response was both humbling and amazing with comments from the likes of John Williamson, Mel from Sunrise, Pat Morrish of Far North ABC Radio and many others.
