Due to the success of my first book, My Small Book of Poems, and the wonderful response from the many people who congratulated me throughout Australia and at my first live performance at the Yorkeys Knob during the Australia Day celebrations, I have been inspired to keep writing. I now offer you my second volume: Rhymes of Times.

The leading poem in this book sums up how I feel about my writing, as I write for you, the average mums and dads, the average Aussie who enjoys a story that will open their memory to a time they fondly remember. I write for my family, about my family, and I write for my friends, especially those that have passed on … but most of all 'I love writing, cause, I love writing':

I love writing, not worried pleasing experts I meet

Knowing at times I miss the meter, rhythm and beat

I love writing, like other writers all over Australia
